STEP 1 OVERVIEW
New BNN = Pen Name?
New Gmail?
RJN or WOTT?
STEP 1 Assignment
- Speak to your Husband about using your current BNN or creating a NEW Pen Name for the book you feel inspired and led to write. THEN WAIT.
Why do most of us use a Pen Name?
- Next, set up an Author Gmail with Google for easy collaboration.
Use your BNN Gmail to set it up, OR use your book title for your Gmail. Again, speak to your Husband. THEN WAIT.
3. Now, speak to Him if your book is an RJN Restoration Journey Novel, like you see on this page. Or, more like the Word of Their Testimony style book, like the Abundant Life Series and the book I'm writing now, Aunt Patty Cake.
BE SURE you've just read through the OVERVIEW of what it means to become an author along with a few more details that will help with the STEP 1 Assignment.

#3 Erin's FUN Writing Tips & Tricks
As PROMISED, here is what we have so far that I shared—and continue to share with more pages that are still being added. As an Aspiring Author, be sure to check back often by simply referring to these pages, rereading them, and looking for new pages. Do this EACH and every time you feel stuck, which is often referred to as "writer's block."
Also, follow the NRP blog #AAS
TUTORED VIDEO COURSE
WELCOME 4 RJN Aspiring Authors
Covering:
1. Begin with RJN —now pair by two. Comment below.
2. YOU LEARN while working with your Husband, record it, post it as a comment on the correct page, not the blog, then if another Aspiring Author tries it and it WORKS, then I will come behind and test it to confirm.
“Every fact is to be confirmed by the testimony of two or three witnesses.” 2 Corinthians 13:1
Then it can move UP into the course, rather than just a comment from the course.
3. Who knows how many I record and share before Wednesday, July 2nd? GOD KNOWS!
Annastasia, I’d be honored if you could be my TA, “Teacher’s Aid”, to make sure all 4 RJN students have commented under the lesson. Please reach out privately if you need to.
I’d LOVE to record Step 3, but I can’t without feedback on the first two lessons. Thank you!!
The honor is mine! I’ll be in touch with the students to keep them updated on the course progress.
Thank you for all these lessons, it really helped me a lot. Although I finished my first book (https://narrowroadpublishinghouse.com/rjn-adina/), I could not have done it without having Erin as my proofreader and all the valuable lessons I learned. I am sure I will learn a lot more as I continue with my RJN “My Journey Home” (https://narrowroadpublishinghouse.com/rjn-adina-jacobs/).
Thank you, Adina for the feedback. Just now, my husband reminded me that your aspiring author partner, is Anastasia, who is speaking and writing English so much better but burdened by this responsibility. So I would like to offer to proofread after or instead of Anastasia (depending on how her Husband leads her). Please check with your husband as well because he may have someone else in mind.
Thank you for everything you’ve shared with us. What I like is that the advice is simple and straightforward, easy to understand, and simplifies the task. It doesn’t seem as overwhelming as I used to think it was. I’m sure I’ll learn the most through the process, writing, and doing.
Thank you, Erin. 😍 I read through everything and I have watched the video. These first steps are done for me, I updated my page on NRPH to now be my Aspiring author page. He has not led me to change the my url, but only the title of my page.
