Moving Forward Together as Aspiring Authors

Moving Forward Together as Aspiring Authors

For weeks—sometimes multiple times a day—I’ve been asking my Husband, ā€œWhen can I come back and pick up where I left off?ā€ I’ve been eager to move forward, but He hadn’t yet led me to take the next step. So I waited.

Then today, after writing a chapter in my book, He finally gave me the green light. The way I wrote this chapter was part of a new process He’s been showing me—using all these incredible new technological tools. As an aspiring author, it’s been such a blessing to discover how these platforms can make writing not only easier, but more inspiring.

The chapter I finished today is so good that maybe He’ll lead me to share it with you. But I won’t share it until I see progress reports from each of you.

Why? Because it’s important that you’re not just hearers—but doers.

I’m not looking for accolades or pats on the back. I want to see fruit. Think of it like a recipe: it’s not enough to say, ā€œWhat a great recipe!ā€ I want to see the cookies baked, passed around, and shared.

That means for every step I’ve given you as aspiring authors, you need to do it and show it—right there in the comments under that step. Post your work, add a link to a Google document or a webpage—whatever it takes to show that you’ve actually done it.

**THIS MEANS ALL of the RJ N Aspiring Authors must give back by investing in everyone who will follow. Go to each week and share your ✨testimony as a Comment, hopefully throughout we can each witness how working with Him increased your closeness with Him and He led you to go beyond just like He has me wash with every Monday šŸ’—"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty and marvelous and wondrous things, which you do not know…things to come, things you could never figure out on your own, remarkable secretsā€¦ā€œ Jeremiah 33:3 Trust me, it's ā€œA Whole New Worldā€ šŸ’—šŸ’—šŸ’—

Celebrating Milestones

Speaking of progress, I want to celebrate something big: Adani is no longer an aspiring author—she’s officially an author! Her book is published through Narrow Publishing, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I’ve never liked being the only one ā€œin the pool,ā€ so to speak, so it’s exciting to have company.

And note—her book is not just a book. She now has her own author page! I just set mine up yesterday, which ā€œjust happenedā€ to be 8/8—a perfect date for a new beginning.

If you already have a book title with Narrow Publishing, talk to your Husband about setting up your author page. Look at mine for an example. You might decide to change your title or your URL—either way, once you make those changes, share them with the group so we can all be on the same page.

Keeping It Current

Another important thing: go back and update your original comments on each step. If something has changed or your work is outdated, replace it with your most recent progress. This will help keep the course fresh and useful for everyone.

And please help me refine each step in the course so it has a clear call to action. I want each instruction to be crystal clear:

•What should the aspiring author do?

•How should they share it?

•What does ā€œfinishedā€ look like?

Remember—if you say you’re going to make cookies, actually make them, and then share them. That’s how we encourage and inspire one another.

Working as One

I truly believe if we do this together, as one, it’s going to be powerful. And when you give back—not just by doing the assignments, but by giving more—the Lord will pour even more into you. When you give away what He’s given you, it creates a space for Him to fill, and you will be more fulfilled in the process.

So finally—I can say I’m moving forward. And I’m excited to do this together.

    1. Wonderful, so this is the conclusion, 3 more chapters written, but He wants the journey. So He led me to add MORE to the post. You’ll see the links in blue and some FUN and exciting emojis that everyone needs to become familiar with and use all the time!!

Oh, and Adina, https://narrowroadpublishinghouse.com/author-adina/ got messed up a bit, but He used it for GOOD as always, you’ll see ALL the reviews https://narrowroadpublishinghouse.com/rjn-adina/#REVIEWS are now in blue on the page, so they can be deleted on the author page, since your first PUBLISHED book has a brand new page, a copy. I’m sure He’ll lead you to do more cleaning up, but I tried to leave it tidy.

  1. Thanks so much Erin, his timing is perfect because I was ready to start working on my RJN again.

I wasn’t happy about what I had originally written when I first started writing my RJN. He led me to start fresh so I started a new GD where I added the first 3 brand new chapters He led me to write and I am in the process of including the rest of the chapters of what I had originally written.

I am seeking Him about my book title, happy to be moving on this again and that it did not get buried.
